DESCRIPTION:

Solid hardwood pedestal table with a heavily textured column base. While the column is hollow in the center to reduce weight, the texture creates a monolithic appearance; as if the column were carved from a solid tree trunk.

Grooves are machined to uneven depths and spacing causing each to intersect its neighbor at a different height. While this process is highly controlled, the effect appears random and organic.

The ridges of this texture catch sun and hold shadow, showcasing a landscape of undulating light as the hours pass.
